About
I am a postgraduate research student, but I wasn’t always one.
I was born in Ashington, Northumberland on 11th September 1985 (that makes me 26). Not long after I moved with my family to Sittingbourne, Kent. Aged 19 I moved to Newcastle and over the next four years I gained a Master of Mathematics degree from Newcastle University.
I spent a year at Keele University and earned a Professional Graduate Certificate in Education Studies in mathematics. A fantastic opportunity to study towards a PhD degree at the Mathematics Education Centre in Loughborough University allowed me pursue a career in mathematics education research.
